Providing our students with nutritional food items during their day at school helps them focus on school work. This is an important investment that impacts the daily lives of our students.
With the help of our community partners, Dow Chemical and Carpenters Local 1256, all elementary and secondary schools in Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent are provided with the opportunity to have a Noelle's Gift closet placed in their school to stock with everyday essential needs specific to their student population. This is an ongoing initiative. Each school will have a representative to ensure the closet inventory is replenished as needed.
Providing school administrators access to emergency funds for elementary & secondary school age students for daily essentials to attend school.
All students in Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent receive a Noelle's Gift water bottle when they transition from kindergarten to Grade 1. This initiative has proven to be a success and we hope to continue to encourage students to use the water filling stations to promote drinking water as a healthy habit.
Summer Family Fun Day, Winter Family Fun Day, & Free Summer Swims
We help other community organizations when the need arises, with Smash Hit grants or Emergency Funding. These funds are provided to organizations that support students, such as the Inn of the Good Shepherds Summer Snack Program.
The Hashtag Charitable Foundation and Noelle’s Gift to Children are excited to release their collaborative fundraising book, Smash Hits!
The book follows local students out to discover all the ways they can grow up to become a smash hit. Talking directly to community members and business owners, the children learn about a variety of different jobs and roles within the community. The professionals they encounter are real Sarnia-Lambton residents.
The books are being distributed through the local school boards to ensure every primary-aged household receives a copy across Lambton County. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase at The Book Keeper.
To celebrate the launch and success of this project, #charitable and Noelle’s Gift held a party at The Book Keeper on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The festivities included a reading of the book, some refreshments, photos and an appearance by Twisted Chris! Buzz and Honey from the Sarnia Sting and Pounce from Lambton College were also in attendance.
#charitable and Noelle’s Gift would like to express our sincerest thanks to participating sponsors.
“Volunteers at Noelle’s Gift to Children are like the superheroes of fun and support for kids! It’s like having a bunch of cool grown-ups who actually listen to us and make our days awesome.” Is this what our students would say about us? Watch the video to find out what they really think of us!
