Lexi’s friends and family always joke that she would move to New York to become a shoe fashion designer when she gets older. She always had a love and passion for shoes; she already owns hundreds of pairs of shoes for any outfit she needs for the special occasion.
On Sunday April 17, 2016 Lexi turned sixteen years old. She has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair. Her slogan is “shoes matter, just ask Cinderella”. Beyond shoes Lexi bowls every Saturday with Community Living and has for the last seven years, so what better place to celebrate her sweet-sixteen than Marcin Bowl.
Lexi wanted her friends and family to provide shoes for children in need, so kids could put miles and miles on a pair of running shoes, splash in summer puddles with sandals or even a nice pair of flats.
Lexi’s request for no gifts and only shoes to be gifted was successful with 82 pairs of shoes. Way to go Lexi you’re a Smash Hit!
